Sidney Country Club Greenskeeper in Sidney, Montana

Job Description --- Greenskeeper Position Summary The Greenskeeper is responsible for the daily maintenance, care, and conditioning of the golf course at Sidney Country Club. This position supports the Superintendent in delivering consistent, high quality playing conditions for members and guests. Primary Responsibilities Daily Course Maintenance • Mow greens, tees, collars, fairways, and rough as assigned • Rake and maintain bunkers • Assist with cup cutting and tee marker setup • Perform debris removal and course cleanup • Operate blowers, trimmers, and other hand tools • Fill divots on tees, fairways, and practice areas Equipment Operation & Care • Safely operate mowers, utility vehicles, and maintenance equipment • Clean equipment after use • Report mechanical issues promptly to the Equipment Manager Irrigation & Water Management • Assist with hand watering greens, tees, and hot spots • Monitor moisture conditions and report stressed turf • Support irrigation repairs under direction of the Superintendent Landscape & Detail Work • Trim around trees, signs, irrigation heads, and buildings • Assist with tree cleanup, brush removal, and storm response • Maintain clubhouse landscaping and surrounding areas Course Projects • Participate in sod work, drainage installation, bunker renovation, and other improvement projects • Assist with aerification, topdressing, and cultural practices Work Expectations • Arrive on time and ready for early morning shifts • Follow all safety procedures and equipment guidelines • Maintain a professional, respectful attitude toward coworkers and members • Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team • Adapt to changing tasks based on weather, events, and course needs Qualifications • Must be of legal age • Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor conditions • Willingness to learn golf course maintenance practices • Ability to operate or learn to operate mowers and equipment • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic • Positive attitude and willingness to take direction Experience in golf course maintenance is helpful but not required. Training is provided. Reporting Structure • Reports directly to the Golf Course Superintendent • Works collaboratively with Assistant Superintendent, Equipment Manager, and seasonal staff Work Schedule • Early morning start times • Weekend and holiday rotations required during the golf season • Hours vary by season, weather, and tournament schedule To apply for this position with the Sidney Country Club complete the Sidney Country Club application and return it to the Sidney Job Service.
