Richland County Sheriff's Office Dispatcher-full time in Sidney, Montana
Full time Communications Officer/Dispatcher position. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be fingerprinted and subjected to a background check. Will process incoming calls from the public from emergency and non-emergency telephone lines. Relay pertinent information to Sheriff, Police, Highway Patrol, Fire and EMS. Will be responsible for operating radio communications equipment and performing related clerical tasks so must have good verbal and written communication skills and skills in operating computer systems. Will also be required within the first year of employment to attend a Public Safety Communicator course at the Montana Law Enforcement Academy. Required testing include: a 5-minute typing and basic spelling/grammar test through e-Skills. E-Skills testing will be emailed to applicant upon request. Position is open until filled. Job service will send the application, release of information and the e-Skills testing results to the Sheriffs office.
