As a Lead Chemical Process Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in leading and driving chemical engineering excellence within the company. You will be responsible for providing technical leadership, expertise, and guidance in the design, development, and implementation of chemical processes and solutions, with a heavy focus on capital design and operational improvement.

You will report directly to our Process Engineering Manager and you will work out of our Mobile, AL, McCook, IL, Shreveport, LA, or Baton Rouge, LA locations on a full-time work schedule.

In this role, you will have an impact by driving technical excellence, project leadership, process optimization, collaboration, and safety. Your expertise and leadership will contribute to the company's growth, competitiveness, and success in the adsorbent and catalyst markets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical leadership and expertise in chemical engineering.

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of capital projects focused on chemical processes and material handling solutions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and improvement.

  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives on manufacturing lines to enhance equipment efficiency and product quality.

  • Provide guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of projects.

  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in catalyst and adsorbent technologies, as well as material handling equipment.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution.

  • 10+ years of experience in chemical engineering.

  • Proven expertise in chemical engineering principles and practices.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Experience in capital design and operational improvement.

  • Knowledge of process simulation software.
