Nature and ScopeThe Senior Director, Procurement provides enterprise-wide leadership for all direct and indirect procurement activities, establishing vision, strategy, governance, and execution models aligned with the company's long-term business objectives. This role is accountable for driving value creation through cost optimization, supply continuity, risk mitigation, supplier innovation, and operational excellence. The Senior Director serves as a strategic partner to senior leadership and collaborates across functional and global teams to standardize best practices, enhance systems and capabilities, and ensure ethical, compliant, and resilient procurement operations. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesNothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. * Establish and execute a comprehensive enterprise procurement strategy aligned with corporate growth, financial, and risk management objectives, balancing short-term results with long-term value creation. * Provide leadership and oversight of all direct and indirect procurement, inventory, sourcing, and supplier management activities across the organization. * Define, implement, and monitor procurement governance frameworks, policies, standards, and performance metrics to ensure consistency, compliance, and transparency. * Lead the development and execution of departmental objectives, KPIs, and talent strategies in alignment with enterprise initiatives. * Identify, evaluate, and deploy procurement systems, digital tools, and process enhancements to improve efficiency, scalability, and decision-making. * Analyze enterprise cost drivers, supplier markets, and spend data to develop and implement strategies that reduce total cost of ownership and improve margin performance. * Oversee the preparation and communication of quarterly cost savings and cost avoidance reporting to senior leadership. * Serve as a key contributor to DS Global Procurement initiatives, collaborating with global stakeholders to drive standardization, best practices, and enterprise risk mitigation. * Provide oversight of RFP/RFQ strategy, sourcing methodologies, and standard documentation for high-value and complex procurements. * Lead and approve negotiation strategies and execution for capital equipment, MRO, and other critical supplier agreements, ensuring optimal balance of cost, quality, service, and risk. * Direct primary and secondary sourcing strategies to ensure business continuity, supply resilience, and competitive advantage. * Maintain awareness of emerging procurement trends, technologies, regulatory requirements, and best-in-class practices to continuously evolve the function. * Foster a high-performance, ethical procurement culture that promotes strong supplier partnerships, compliance, and sound business conduct. * Cultivate strategic, mutually beneficial supplier partnerships to maximize value, improve supplier performance, and mitigate risk. * Provide people leadership, including talent development, succession planning, performance management, organizational design, and employee engagement. * Deliver regular reporting on procurement performance, risk exposure, negotiation outcomes, and strategic initiatives, ensuring a clear audit trail and data integrity. * Represent the organization in supplier meetings and on-site assessments as appropriate. * Perform any other tasks/duties as assigned by management. Education Requirements and QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. * Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field required. * Minimum of 15 years of progressive procurement or sourcing experience within the pharmaceutical industry required.
