Purpose of the Role
- Support/coordinate budgeting, financial reporting/analysis, propose productivity improvements.
Key Accountabilities
Budget & Forecast: Develop and coordinate budgets, monitor changes, provide risk/opportunity analysis, pursue savings, ensure timely and clear reporting.
Financial Analysis: Provide timely project financial analysis, highlight risks/opportunities.
Accounting Closing: Conduct monthly/yearly closings per German/Japan GAAP.
Compliance: Ensure statements comply with local/corporate guidelines, proper use of systems/software.
Communication: Regularly communicate with business partners, ensure accountability for financial deviations.
Required Experience & Qualifications
3+ years’ experience in Finance (Controlling, Accounting, or Auditing)
Solid knowledge of accounting and controlling (university degree or relevant certificates)
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
Bilingual: Japanese (native) and English (business level)
Nice to have
Experience with financial reporting in multinational companies
Knowledge of German GAAP and/or Japanese GAAP
Experience with financial systems/software (SAP, etc.)
GenAI knowledge or experience applying AI tools in finance
