Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Sterile Processing Professional, you will be a critical guardian of patient safety, ensuring surgical teams receive correct, fully functional, and sterile instrumentation.
Every day, you will expertly perform decontamination, prep and pack, sterilization, and dispatch with efficiency, expertise, and accuracy, delivering instruments with resourcefulness, determination, courtesy, and professionalism. You will continuously expand your knowledge of standards and procedures for surgical instrumentation.
To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a rigorous commitment to infection control, ensuring optimal surgical outcomes with a professional demeanor.
Monitor and operate sterilization equipment
Examine supplies meticulously to ensure they are properly cleaned and sanitized
Test and report any issues or problems with the sterilization equipment
Sterilize, prepare, wrap and organize equipment into instrument trays for use during medical procedures
Prepare and deliver all necessary equipment and instruments for surgeries, examinations, medical procedures and medical carts
Maintain records of sterilization procedures, sterilized items, equipment maintenance and supplies
Job Requirements
Required
High School Graduate general studies, upon hire or
High School GED general studies, upon hire or
Other Metropolitan test or equivalent, upon hire
Certified and Registered Central Service Technician, upon hire or
Certified Sterile Processing and Dist Supervisor, upon hire or
Certified Sterile Processing and Dist Tech, upon hire or
Cert Sterile Processing Dist Tech, upon hire
Three (3) years of experience in the field, upon hire

Pay Range
$18.06 - $25.51 /hour
