AHS Sherman Medical Center Environmental Services Tech in SHERMAN, Texas
The Environmental Services Tech cleans and services the hospital facility and other assigned areas on a routine basis. To ensure a friendly environment for the patients, visitors, and staff.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING:
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
- Light lifting may be required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain confidentially, protecting patient information at all times: minimum information necessary to those with right and need to know.
- Proactive in answering telephone calls and offering assistance to all customers by telephone or in person.
- Effective communication: writes and speaks clearly and concisely, affecting positive and efficient assistance to all requestors.
- Perform required tasks and other duties as assigned, while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Completes job duties in accordance with productivity requirements and quality standards.
- Promptly report equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel to order service as needed.
- Performs all other duties as assigned or required.
- Assembles and transport cleaning supplies, equipment and other material to designated work areas in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Maintains floors, walls, ceilings, windows, fixtures and equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Processes general/infectious waste and soiled linen in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Operates all power equipment as dictated by work assignment in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Uses equipment, supplies and all other hospital property in a safe and economical manner.
- Maintains environmental services equipment, storage rooms and other materials at a high level of cleanliness and in good repair at all times.
