Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Seasonal Full-Time General Laborer to support daily operations in our Nursery Department. This role involves hands-on work with plants, outdoor merchandise, and customer support in a fast-paced, outdoor retail environment. The ideal candidate enjoys physical work, working outdoors in all weather conditions, and being part of a team that helps customers create beautiful gardens and landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving, unloading, and moving nursery stock, soil, mulch, and other materials
• Water, care for, and maintain the appearance and health of plants
• Load plants and materials into customer vehicles safely and efficiently
• Keep nursery areas clean, organized, and well-stocked
• Set up, maintain, and rotate plant displays and seasonal merchandise
• Support customers by directing them to products or staff as needed
• Operate basic tools and equipment such as hand trucks, carts, and hoses
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work a full-time seasonal schedule
• Ability to follow directions and work well independently or as part of a team
• Previous nursery, landscaping, or garden center experience is a plus, but not required
• Have great customer service skills and maintain customer confidence

Work Environment

• Outdoor and greenhouse settings
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying
• Exposure to soil, plants, water, and seasonal weather conditions

Schedule

• Full-time seasonal hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Season length:      April - October
