JOB DUTIES/TASKS
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patrons through cleaning and organizational tasks.
- Provide information about Aquatics programs to patrons.
- Greet patrons and monitor facility access.
- Participate in a customer-focused and team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrate knowledge of basic point-of-sale and cash handling practices and procedures, with the ability to learn job-specific applications and equipment.
- Adhere to safe work practices and procedures.
- Establish and maintain harmonious relationships with colleagues, managers, and patrons.
- Lead and work effectively with individuals of all ages.
- Observe and support safety requirements and regulations established by the Director and/or Recreation Board.
- Attend all scheduled training sessions and staff meetings.
- Answer phone inquiries and assist patrons with questions.
- Process point-of-sale transactions for entry and concessions.
- Enforce facility rules and educate patrons about them.
- Inform Manager of equipment or concessions needs.
- Perform assigned duties as directed by Manager.
- Complete required records and reports, submitting them to Manager.
- Perform maintenance, cleaning, and other assigned tasks.
- Inspect the facility daily and report any unsafe conditions or equipment to Manager.
- Communicate effectively in person and in writing, fostering positive relationships with diverse individuals.
- Follow oral and written instructions accurately.
- Multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent customer service.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Duties are frequently performed under conditions where noise, heat, dampness or cold are unavoidable.
- Work environment may involve occasional exposure to occupational hazards, biohazards, and physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
