Amazon Sr. NPI & Sustaining Ops Manager, Operation Program Management in Shenzhen, China

This position (NPI and Sustaining Ops Mgr) is responsible for delivering all products from development to launch and manage them through sustaining period to end of life. The scope of responsibility for this position covers various aspects of operation functions including operation program manager, materials program manager and factory operations in both NPI and sustaining stage.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end programs from NPI development through program EOM, with full cross-functional ownership and accountability.

• Lead NPI program development to meet the launch schedule

• Attend NPI core team meetings and on-site factory builds to closely monitor program schedule and milestones.

• Manage CMs to ensure material and production line readiness for new product introduction.

• Track material clear-to-build status and drive resolution of material shortage escalations from CMs.

• Optimize supply chain flexibility to respond to demand fluctuations and ensure on-time customer shipments during mass production.

• Drive initiatives to mitigate material shortages and excess inventory across the product lifecycle; conduct liability analysis and disposal planning at End of Manufacturing (EOM).

• Develop and qualify new supply base capabilities to support cost and sourcing strategies.

• Lead Post Ramp Qualification (PRQ) for sustaining programs to ensure stable operations.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with global teams to build strong partnerships and drive execution within Amazon.

• Partner with functional teams to deliver continuous manufacturing and operational improvements for cost savings and efficiency gains.

• Able to travel up to 30%, primarily domestic/local travel.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 7+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Engineering background with FATP development experience.
