Your role and responsibilities
Lead the implementation and configuration of SAP Materials Management (MM) module in a brownfield environment on RISE with SAP, including end-to-end Procure to Pay (P2P) processes such as requisitioning, sourcing, procurement, inventory management, and invoice verification, ensuring optimal system performance and business alignment while preserving existing customizations.
Design and customize MM functionalities to meet complex business requirements, including integration with other SAP modules like SD (Sales and Distribution) for order-to-cash scenarios and FI/AP for seamless financial postings, with a focus on system upgrades and migrations within the RISE with SAP framework.
Conduct comprehensive workshops with stakeholders to elicit detailed requirements, perform fit-gap analyses, and develop implementation roadmaps for brownfield MM projects on RISE with SAP, emphasizing minimal disruption to live operations.
Oversee testing phases (unit, integration, and user acceptance) for MM implementations, troubleshoot advanced issues, and ensure data migration accuracy during system rollouts in brownfield scenarios on RISE with SAP.
Provide expert guidance on best practices for MM configurations, custom developments, and process optimizations to drive efficiency in supply chain operations.
Document implementation strategies, configurations, and user training materials, while leveraging tools like Jira and Confluence for tracking progress and knowledge sharing.
Stay abreast of SAP innovations, such as S/4HANA upgrades in brownfield contexts on RISE with SAP, and recommend enhancements to evolve MM capabilities in line with industry standards.
Required technical and professional expertise
Bachelor's degree, or a related field; SAP are essential.
5+ years of hands-on experience as an SAP MM Consultant, with proven expertise in implementing P2P processes; deep knowledge of MM modules including purchasing, inventory, and valuation is required.
Strong experience in SAP brownfield implementations across full project lifecycles, including blueprinting, realization, and deployment on RISE with SAP; prior exposure to S/4HANA MM migrations is highly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to integrate MM with SD and other modules.
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, for leading offshore teams and authoring technical documentation.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies; experience with Jira and Confluence for project management is advantageous.
Exposure to SAP Fiori for user interface enhancements or SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) for advanced logistics integrations is highly desirable.
Strong team player with a collaborative mindset, experienced in multi-phase SAP projects, with a track record of delivering high-impact solutions under tight deadlines.
Ability to thrive in dynamic environments, with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for continuous learning in SAP technologies.
