Kuehne+Nagel Global Sea Logistics Operational Key Account Manager in Shenzhen, China

Our Global Operational Key Account Manager (OKAM) is responsible for delivering an exceptional operational experience for strategic global customers. You will act as the primary operational owner for your assigned accounts, leading cross-country and cross business unit coordination to ensure service excellence, customer retention, and sustainable growth.

How you create impact

  • Serve as the primary global operational point of contact for assigned key accounts

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships through regular engagement and reviews

  • Provide end-to-end operational oversight across Air and Sea Logistics, countries, and regions

  • Lead and coordinate the Operational Key Account Team (Network OKAMs, OKAS, and supporting teams)

  • Translate customer operational requirements into effective internal solutions and processes

  • Manage operational escalations, including service issues and claims of a structural nature

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, efficiency, and cost performance

  • Support onboarding and implementation of new business and customer solutions

  • Collaborate closely with sales and operations to deliver corrective actions and performance improvements

What we would like you to bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field

  • Proven experience managing global or multinational customer accounts

  • Strong knowledge of international freight forwarding, import/export processes, and operational systems

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence virtual, cross-functional teams

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
