This (Senior). Chemical Engineer provides research into specific applications such as improved quality of existing products, more cost-effective manufacturing processes, Designs and scales manufacturing processes, Delivers the technology and process capability needed to operate, maintain and improve manufacturing operations. Analyzes and develops solutions to engineering problems.
Job Description:
Engage in formulation and process development, material characterization studies, surface treatment studies (metal/non-metal plating).
Design of Experiments (DOE), and performance validation, primarily focusing on rubber but also including related products across the entire department.
Lead the full process transformation of new materials from laboratory research and development to pilot production, and scales manufacturing processes
Introduce/develop advanced surface treatment technologies to improve product reliability/quality
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality, commercial, sourcing, and supply chain, to develop, enhance, and commercialize new products and solve issues in mass production.
Execute various activities such as prototyping, laboratory work, technical service, troubleshooting, and hands-on tasks. Deliver project results on schedule, ensuring both quality and feasibility in alignment with business needs.
Introduce new technologies through knowledge exchange with technology experts to identify improvement opportunities for the business growth
Gain a comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and processes. also provide customized solutions for customer applications.
Improvements to existing production practices based on industry benchmarks and best practices, including tooling and fixture design, to enhance quality.
Troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving initiatives for production.
Ensure compliance with global Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards, intellectual property protection, and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements:
PhD degree or a master’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience in Polymer Science, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering(plating) is required.
Experience in formulation development and related compound process, Design of Experiments (DOE), and experience in EMC/EMI application is a plus.
Preferred experience in the manufacturing processes of rubber-related materials.
Preferred experience in surface treatment (metal/non-metal plating).
Excellent logical thinking and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Fluent in both English and Mandarin, with proficiency in written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Willingness and ability to travel to client sites, partner manufacturing locations, and company facilities as necessary.
