Data Analyst
Join OURCU: Turning Data into Better Member Experiences
At OURCU, we believe great decisions start with great information, and that behind every number is a person we're here to serve. We're looking for a Data Analyst to help teams across the credit union turn data into clear insights, stronger performance, and a better member experience. You'll work alongside teammates who value collaboration, honesty and trust, and who appreciate fresh thinking and genuine curiosity.
What You'll Do
As a Data Analyst, you'll partner with teams like Lending, Marketing, Finance, Compliance, and IT to understand what matters most to the team, define the right metrics, and deliver reporting and analysis that drives action. Success in this role requires a proactive communication style, including asking thoughtful questions, confirming requirements, and sharing clear updates as work progresses. You'll create and maintain dashboards, perform ad hoc analysis, and help leaders understand trends in member, product, and operational performance.
This role also plays an important part in ensuring report accuracy and consistency- validating data, documenting definitions and logic, and working with IT to resolve data issues. You'll handle sensitive financial and member information with care and help improve data accessibility and reporting efficiency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports to support business operations and strategic initiatives
- Analyze member, product, and operational data to identify trends and opportunities for growth
- Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into meaningful analytics and reporting solutions
- Provide strategic and actionable recommendations to optimize revenue, control expenses, and improve the member experience
- Conduct data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure reporting accuracy
- Investigate and resolve data inconsistencies in collaboration with IT and business teams
- Document reporting logic, data sources, and methodologies for transparency and repeatability
- Build and maintain SQL queries, scripts, data models, and ETL processes to enable reliable reporting and analysis
- Support secure handling of sensitive financial and member data, including appropriate access management
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting efficiency, and data accessibility
We're Seeking Someone Who Is:
- Curious and analytical, with a strong logical approach to turning complex questions into clear metrics and insights
- A problem-solver who can break down ambiguity, identify root causes, and propose practical next steps
- Collaborative, open, and trustworthy, comfortable partnering within and across teams and sharing knowledge
- Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy, consistency, and documentation
- A proactive communicator, providing clear updates and surfacing risks, dependencies, or data limitations early
- Service-minded, embracing our "people helping people" philosophy in day-to-day work by supporting colleagues and keeping the member impact at the center of analysis
Key Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
