The Staff Engineer will be a technical expert in Software and Model Based Design and will be involved in reviews and troubleshooting issues across the business. Specific Responsibilities * Design and implement predictive maintenance algorithms to improve system reliability and decreased cost of ownership * Implement optimization algorithms to enhance existing and future designs * Develop controls in Simulink and utilize automatic code generation to deploy C++ code * Design and implement feedback and model predictive control algorithms to meet performance and robustness requirements * Develop models of Engines, Alternators, Transformers and Alternative Energy Sources in various fidelity levels of components for reuse in System Simulations * Validate new algorithms in simulated environments and on hardware * Integration of new designs into existing code bases * Develop and deploy internal PC-based tools to accelerate internal customers in design work * Implement best design practices for code development Skills/Requirements * Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Required from ABET accredited institution.
