Position Overview The Laboratory Technician - Raw Material Testing supports chemical manufacturing operations by performing routine testing of incoming raw materials. This role focuses on executing established laboratory methods, accurately documenting results, and ensuring materials meet quality and safety requirements before use in production. Job Responsibilities Perform routine raw material testing independently using approved laboratory methods and procedures Prepare samples, standardize reagents, and test solutions according to written instructions Operate basic laboratory equipment and instruments Perform scaled laboratory experiments Record test data, calculations, and observations clearly and accurately in laboratory records and electronic systems Compare results to specifications and implement required protocol for out-of-specification results, including appropriate disposition Extract data, construct charts/graphs and complete quantitative analysis of data to identify trends, draw conclusions and provide recommendations Recognize problems and resolve test discrepancies when they occur Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures, including proper use of PPE Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and readiness for audits or inspections Assist with equipment cleaning, basic maintenance, and calibration activities Develop and write Standard Operating Procedures for raw material testing Train and certify associates on raw material testing Support investigations, re-testing, and continuous improvement activities as assigned Work collaboratively and effectively communicate with quality, manufacturing, R/D...
