Attention Certified Surgical Technologists looking to join a dynamic team in SHARON CT!!

We are growing and seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist. This role is in our Sharon CT Hospital and provides a rare opportunity to grow your career within this dynamic environment. Full Time M -F 0700-1530 and on call rotation for off hours and weekends. Pay range $35.02 - $49.02/hour plus shift differentials.

Summary:Assumes responsibility and accountability for functioning as the scrub nurse in assisting with the nursing care activities and surgical services provided to a specific group of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric patients consistent with the philosophy, goals, policies and procedures of the Nursing Department and Hospital Administration. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to the age of the patient served on the nursing unit or by patient care department.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Requires high school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: One year of previous medical/surgical and/or Operating Room experience.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:

·Basic understanding of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.

·Basic computer skills, i.e. MS Outlook

.License:

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required through a nationally accredited educational program, such as National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certified

  • Location: Sharon Hospital

Working Conditions:

Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity

Occupational: Significant occupational risk

Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force

Physical Environment: Significant exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
