Key Responsibilities
Supplier Identification and Qualification :
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and subcontractors that align with business requirements.
Ensure qualification of suppliers and subcontractors. This must adhere to Solstice's standard policies and procedures.
Utilization of Preferred Suppliers :
Encourage the operations estimating team to utilize preferred suppliers effectively and leverage negotiated catalogs.
Drive training and initiatives to ensure compliance with preferred supplier usage.
Procurement Planning :
Establish comprehensive procurement plans following booking activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines and business objectives.
Collaborate with stakeholders to determine specific procurement needs and timelines.
Negotiation and Cost Savings :
Negotiate pricing and delivery-related terms with selected suppliers and subcontractors.
Employ various negotiation strategies, including the use of reverse auction tools, to maximize savings and enhance productivity.
Document all savings achieved during negotiations in accordance with Solstice policies, ensuring transparency and compliance.
Commodity Strategy Development :
Create and implement commodity strategies that promote strong supplier relationships.
Ensure that suppliers provide added value through their services and products, thereby enhancing the overall purchasing process.
Qualifications
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) are advantageous.
Experience :
A minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supplier management roles.
Demonstrated experience in negotiation and supplier relationship management.
Skills :
Proficiency in procurement software and tools, including reverse auction platforms.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, enabling effective evaluation of supplier proposals and negotiation outcomes.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for building collaborative relationships.
Language requirements: Candidates with Japanese and Korean skills are preferred.
