Job Description:
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver end to end migration projects, including system, application, data, or physical migrations. The role is responsible for planning, execution, risk management, stakeholder coordination, and successful cutover with minimal impact to business operations. Proper knowledge of manufacture process and costing and capacities analysis and resource balance, also provide guidance to new coming engineers or junior engineers.
The ideal candidate has strong project governance skills, hands on experience with large scale migrations preferred, and the ability to work across technical and non technical teams.
Job Requirements
Project Planning & Governance
• Identify/align projects goals and scope with management team or PM, breakdown tasks of tooling/process developments and qualification
• Make/align tooling migration & development and qualification timeline, assign tasks to ops team include resource deployment, materials purchase etc.
• Track and manage project team to execute project progress based on committed project schedule
• Lead full project lifecycle for migration initiatives from initiation through post migration stabilization
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, and success criteria
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans
• Establish project governance, reporting cadence, and change control processes
Project Execution
• Guide capacity planning, materials sourcing and manpower to support all builds in the plant.
• Oversee the progression of tooling/process migration/development, identify bottleneck and issues, organize Ops team to improve those bottleneck and issues.
• Oversee risks assessment in project execution, stay interlock with sending and receiving team to make mitigation plan and conduct the planned activities in Ops.
• Finalize the Safe Launch plan for the appropriate mix of product, tool capability and demand with the approval of the Quality, ME and PDE, customers.
• Align the budget with Ops team with the tooling list provided by ME&Procurement, control total capital spending against CER.
• Manage change requests and scope adjustments while protecting timeline and budget
• Lead and coordinate line setup to conduct sample builds.
• Lead Ops to make ramp up plan, include materials, operations and tool capacity ramp up, ensure manufacture team take over production control smoothly after G5.
Migration Delivery
• Manage migration activities including discovery, assessment, P&L analysis, build, testing, cutover, and decommissioning
• Product migration, as a receiving or sending leader to execute product move in or move out, including project timeline, investment, cost control, machine/material/manpower preparation, risk assessment, safety stock, safe launch, etc. which comply with the Policies and Procedures
• Lead product capacity analysis and expand it through re-investment per estimation.
• Provide guidance to new coming engineers or junior engineers
• Alignment with infrastructure, application, security, data, and business teams
• Ensure migration readiness, cutover planning, rollback strategy, and post go live support
• Track and manage dependencies across multiple workstreams
• Manage change requests and scope adjustments while protecting timeline and budget
Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain project documentation including project data base, project plans, and status reports
• Prepare executive level dashboards and steering committee updates
• Conduct lessons learned and post implementation reviews
What your background should look like
Required Qualifications and skills
• Bachelor’s degree, engineering background is preferred
• PMP certification preferred
• 5 years related working experience in project management
• Experience working with cross functional and geographically distributed teams
• Fluent oral and written/reading in English
• Ability to manage ambiguity and high pressure cutover periods
• Project management tools (MS Project) or experience with Excel, PPT
• Strong problem solving and decision making
