Who We Are:
Wayfair is reinventing the way people shop for their homes. Our Curation, Brands, & Stores (CBS) organization helps customers find great products faster by building a more curated, trusted, and differentiated assortment.
Curation Analytics partners with Merchandising, Sourcing, and Planning teams to bring rigor and measurement to how Wayfair selects and scales its most impactful items, including through Wayfair Verified and our Strategic Retail Brands.
We are looking for a Senior Analyst (L2) based in Shanghai to support Wayfair’s global sourcing program and the Shanghai Planning team. This role reports to the Curation Analytics lead and serves as a core analytical partner to sourcing and planning stakeholders across Asia and the US.
What You’ll Do:
Partner with Sourcing, Merchants, and Planning teams to support data-driven sourcing decisions, gap prioritization, and investment tradeoffs.
Build analyses that inform which items to source, what success looks like at launch, and how to evaluate early performance and risk.
Support sourcing trips and post-trip readouts by synthesizing results, identifying trends, and highlighting follow-up actions.
Provide analytical support to the Planning portfolio by tracking performance, SKU health, and lifecycle outcomes for curated items.
Develop and maintain dashboards and recurring reporting on key metrics such as revenue, availability, pricing competitiveness, and recipe health.
Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for cross-functional partners with varying levels of analytical expertise.
Identify risks, second-order impacts, and emerging performance issues and proactively surface them to stakeholders.
Independently structure and execute end-to-end analytical projects aligned to team objectives, managing priorities and timelines with limited oversight.
Partner closely with analytics and data engineering teams to ensure accuracy, scalability, and consistency of reporting.
What You’ll Need:
Mandarin and English fluency in both speaking and writing.
Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
3–6+ years of experience in an analytics, business intelligence, or data-driven role.

Advanced Excel or Google Sheets proficiency.
Experience building dashboards in Looker / Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down ambiguous questions into structured analyses.
Solid business judgment and interest in sourcing, merchandising, or planning decision-making.
Clear written and verbal communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally.
Ability to operate effectively in a global environment with partners in Asia, North America, and Europe.
