Role Overview:
Ankura provides Managing Directors with the opportunity to work collaboratively on diverse teams with skilled, intelligent, driven, and successful individuals; the team collaborates with eDiscovery, cybersecurity, data analytics, and investigatory experts to assess and respond to both the quantitative and qualitative aspects of problems. Ankura is focused on hiring Managing Directors who will serve as the foundation of a growing firm dedicated to its people, culture, and delivering high-quality service to clients.
As a Managing Director, you will be a key contributor to helping grow the forensics team from both a revenue and solutions perspective. You will work closely with the Senior Managing Directors to help execute the strategic vision for the practice. The Managing Director will manage teams of Computer Forensic professionals, projects, and revenue generation. The MD will work closely with project teams to become familiar with clients' big-picture objectives and challenges and execute on critical project deliverables to ensure these objectives are met on time and with the highest quality.
Responsibilities:
Develop new revenue opportunities for Ankura’s Forensics team via both new and existing clients
Manage teams and the delivery of teams who are responsible for preservation and analysis of electronically stored information (“ESI”) using industry-standard tools and practices
Ensure that the forensic team can secure transfer of digital evidence while maintaining chain of custody
Responsible for the team maintaining the integrity of electronically stored information for admission in a court of law
Proactive research and recommendations of technology solutions and process improvements that will ensure continued defensibility
Day-to-day client engagement and management activities, including interaction with client personnel, internal Ankura team members, and other stakeholders involved in each engagement
Development and cultivation of junior-level team members
Practice and Business Development initiatives, including expanding on client relationships
Providing project management and support to team leads and clients
Delivering updates of projects engagements to Senior Managing Director
Responding to client requests and setting clear expectations to internal and external stakeholders.
Designing and implementing intelligent workflow solutions to quickly identify the key facts, details, and merits of the case
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree. Preferred degree digital forensics, engineering, computer science, information technology, data analytics, or work experience in a related field
10+ years of experience working in the Digital Forensics and related space
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience leading teams for a professional services firm
Possess strong quantitative and qualitative research and analytical skills
Possess strong team-oriented personality characteristics: hard-working, thoughtful, and collaborative, with a positive outlook and confidence
Ability to demonstrate excellent communication (written and verbal), mathematical, and organizational skills
Familiarity with any of the following products/tools
Experience with forensic software: EnCase, Access Data Forensic Toolkit, Cellebrite, Linux-based forensic tools, Magnet Axiom, Black bag or similar forensic toolkits
Database/Programming skills are a plus: Html, Microsoft SQL Server, SQL, Microsoft Access, Visual Basic, Python, R
Email Systems: Office 365, Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes/Domino, eVault, email archive platforms;
Cloud-based storage and chat collaboration platforms such as SLACK, Dropbox, Box, etc.;
System experience in Microsoft, Linux/Unix, or Macintosh;
Experience with eDiscovery Review/Processing Platforms is a plus: Relativity, Brainspace, Disco, Nuix, Law, MindsEye;
Able to adapt quickly in handling multiple/evolving tasks as a result of new engagements and/or re-prioritized deadlines.
Highly motivated, eager to learn, willing to travel, and able to motivate others;
Able to utilize technology to solve complex problems;
A plus if the candidate has CCE, CISSP, EnCE, ACE, or other comparable certifications.
