The Coca-Cola Company Manager, Marketing Capability and Internal Communications in Shanghai, China
Role Summary
We are looking for a high energy Capability & Communications Manager to accelerate marketing transformation by building critical capabilities, driving adoption of new ways of working, and orchestrating clear, compelling internal communications across the marketing community.
This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring that marketing teams are enabled, aligned, and engaged as new capabilities, tools, and ways of working are introduced. You will design and deliver capability‑building initiatives while also leading internal marketing communications, including flagship internal newsletters, marketing townhalls, and key internal forums that keep teams informed, connected, and inspired.
This is a highly collaborative role working across Marketing Operations, Capability teams, Technology, and senior marketing leadership.
Please note: This role is not a fully remote position. The selected candidate will need to be based in Shanghai and follow our hybrid work setup
What You'll Do
Build Marketing Capabilities
Design and deliver capability‑building initiatives that strengthen marketing effectiveness
Partner with global capability teams to activate playbooks and frameworks.
Shape future‑ready learning pathways aligned to transformation priorities.
Support the rollout of new tools, processes, and ways of working through structured enablement and adoption plans.
Drive Adoption & Change
Support change management efforts to embed new capabilities and ways of working into day‑to‑day marketing routines.
Develop practical enablement materials, playbooks, and guidance that help teams translate strategy into action.
Reinforce a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and improvement across the marketing community.
Lead Internal Marketing Communications
Own and evolve the internal Marketing newsletter, ensuring consistent, high‑quality storytelling that highlights priorities, progress, wins, and best practices.
Orchestrate internal marketing townhalls, key internal meetings, and similar forums, shaping agendas, narratives, and content to drive clarity, engagement, and alignment.
Partner with senior leaders to craft clear, compelling messages that support transformation initiatives and capability rollouts.
Ensure internal communications are timely, relevant, and aligned with broader enterprise and marketing priorities.
Connect the Marketing Community
Act as a connector across marketing teams, capability owners, and leadership to ensure information flows effectively.
Curate and amplify success stories, case studies, and learnings to encourage adoption and shared learning.
Support engagement across the broader marketing ecosystem, fostering a strong sense of community and shared direction.
Measure & Improve
Track engagement and effectiveness of capability initiatives and internal communications.
Gather feedback to continuously improve learning experiences, communications, and engagement mechanisms.

Clear understanding of priorities, progress, and expectations across the marketing community

What We're Looking For
Required Experience
4-7+ years of experience in marketing, capability development, communications, transformation, or related roles
Strong internal communication skills, with experience shaping narratives and engaging large internal audiences
Ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholders in a matrixed environment
Strong project management and organisational skills
