Honeywell Lead Strategic Plan Specialist in Shanghai, China

ORGANIZATION & POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This role sits within Honeywell’s Building Automation strategy team and serves as a key member of the GC commercial organization. The individual is expected to work on a broad range of projects, including but not limited to annual strategic planning, business development & analysis, new growth programs, etc.

The position offers unparalleled exposure to senior leaders within the organization, and a view of the entire BA portfolio. After gaining sufficient experience, a natural career progression will be either a more senior level in the same function, or advancement into leadership positions within a line of business

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement annual strategic and operating plans for BA Greater China

  • Lead and deliver of boarder business strategies, including but not limited to innovation / GTM / operational strategies

  • Lead comprehensive market and industry analyses to deliver solid actionable insights on market segmentation, competitive landscape, and industry trends; formulate go‑to‑market strategies accordingly

  • Conduct ongoing research on China’s macroeconomics and key verticals to inform strategic decision‑making

  • Synthesize and translate market data, competitive intelligence, and customer insights into clear, executive-ready narratives and recommendations

  • Build financial and economic models to support business diagnosis

  • Provide analytical support and project management / coordination during implementation of strategic initiatives

  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, product innovations, and potential partnership or alliance structures.

  • Support ad hoc strategic and operational initiatives as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of full-time working experience with a professional service background (e.g. management consulting, research dept. in investment banking, etc.) plus MNC / high-tech experience

  • Creative with strong business sense, strategic thinking & problem solving capability

  • Outstanding analytical skills in both qualitative and quantitative way, ability to synthesize multiple perspectives into frameworks

  • Ability to fully own, lead and execute an end-to-end strategic project

  • Can-do attitude, attention to details, ability to multi-task & work under pressure, proactively drive impact and get results

  • Good leadership potential: strong self-awareness, seeks and welcomes feedback, team player; Strong communication skills in written and spoken English & Chinese
