We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.
In this role, you will:
Implementation Strategy & Planning:
Define and own the overall implementation and cutover strategy, ensuring alignment across business and technology.
Develop comprehensive plans covering parallel run, big bang migration, and contingency scenarios.
Drive gap analysis and proactively address planning deficiencies.
Delivery Execution & Cutover Leadership:
Lead execution of cutover activities, including worst-case scenario planning, rehearsals, and post-go-live hypercare operating model.
Ensure robust mitigation steps for risks and issues, drawing on prior experience with large-scale migrations (ideally core banking or similar critical platforms).
Programme Integration & Dependency Management:
Bring together complex dependencies across all workstreams, acting as the single point of contact for leadership on strategy, plan, and execution.
Ensure BAU change is interlocked with the programme in broader implementation planning.
Dress Rehearsal & Run Book Management:
Define and drive the Programme Dress Rehearsal Strategy, Plan, and Approach.
Own the overall Implementation Run Book, ensuring IT run book synchronisation across all impacted parties.
Challenge IT and Business workstream run books to ensure completeness and readiness.
Stakeholder Communication & Governance:
Produce Steering Committee level content and communications, providing clear, concise updates to senior leadership.
Engage and influence stakeholders across business and technology, ensuring alignment and transparency.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
Technology expertise in delivering Big Bang migrations on key services – Experience of having led the preparation and implementation of enterprise level go-lives, and how that experience can demonstrate up front thinking into the planning and execution. Ideally this is for core banking, but applicable experience of any enterprise level platform migration that spans multiple business lines.
Experience of leading post implementation activities and Incident Management – Evidence of having managed post go-live periods to achieve stability and transition to a business as usual service.
Highly effective communicator to senior Business and Technology stakeholders – Experience of simplifying complexity with different audiences; with strong inter-personal and communication skills to be able to operate at senior levels.
Business impact expertise, understanding Customer Impact and Communication – Experience in haven directed business scenario planning – worst case scenarios, internal and external communication planning required before and during Implementation events.
Driving partnership across Business, internal Technology and third party teams – Proven experience of integration across multiple parties, driving through complex inter-dependencies.
Technology experience in banking – Understanding of the banking domain, critical business services as to which need focused attention during Implementation transition.
Flexibility to travel within China Mainland – between Shanghai and Guangzhou
Languages - Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese (written and spoken).
