Citigroup GSP Sales in Shanghai, China
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Credit Sales professional to join our product specialist team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth by marketing and distributing a wide range of credit products to institutional clients in onshore China. This role requires a deep understanding of both local and cross-border credit markets, a strong existing network of client relationships, and a proven track record of success in a competitive sales environment.
Responsibilities:
Work with the bigger sales team to develop Citi's spread products franchise across Asia.
Execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and expand our client base in onshore China.
Market a comprehensive suite of credit products, including but not limited to corporate bonds, asset-backed securities, and other structured credit instruments.
Originate and maintain strong relationships with key institutional clients, including asset managers, insurance companies, pension funds, and banks.
Provide clients with insightful market commentary, trade ideas, and product analysis.
Collaborate closely with internal trading, research, and structuring teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs.
Manage the entire sales cycle from trade inception and execution to settlement.
Stay abreast of market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes affecting the credit markets in China.
Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Recommended Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a credit sales or related role at a reputable financial institution.
Demonstrable and established client relationships with key institutional accounts in onshore China.
Strong product knowledge across a variety of local (onshore) credit products as well as cross-border credit instruments.
Proven ability to generate revenue and consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely.
Fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese is essential.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Self-starter with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
