Job Profile Summary
The Clinical Marketing Manager leads and executes comprehensive clinical marketing strategies for Philips’ healthcare products within an assigned region or product portfolio, ensuring full alignment with global and regional business objectives. This role oversees the development and implementation of data-driven marketing initiatives, leverages deep clinical insights to accelerate product adoption, and leads cross-functional teams to strengthen market competitiveness and enhance brand equity. Reporting to the Regional Marketing Leader, the Clinical Marketing Manager is accountable for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and ensuring strict alignment with healthcare industry trends, regulatory requirements, and evolving customer needs.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and execute both long-term and short-term clinical marketing strategies, aligned with global marketing guidelines and regional business goals, to drive product adoption, deepen market penetration, and fuel revenue growth across targeted healthcare segments (e.g., hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centers).
Lead market research and analysis to identify unmet clinical needs, emerging industry trends, competitive landscapes, and untapped market opportunities; translate these insights into actionable marketing plans and differentiated product positioning strategies that highlight Philips’ unique value propositions.
Oversee the development of high-quality clinical marketing collaterals—including technical whitepapers, clinical case studies, product brochures, and digital content—ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulatory standards, and alignment with core clinical messaging.
Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams (Marketing, R&D, Clinical Affairs, Sales, and Regulatory) to ensure the seamless execution of marketing initiatives, including product launches, clinical trials, and healthcare professional education programs.
Manage the clinical marketing budget efficiently, allocate resources strategically, and monitor the ROI of marketing campaigns and initiatives to ensure optimal performance and alignment with overarching business objectives.
Develop and implement targeted clinical education programs for healthcare professionals, sales teams, and partners, focusing on product functionality, clinical applications, and competitive advantages to build product expertise and drive widespread adoption.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as market share, product adoption rate, customer satisfaction, and campaign effectiveness; analyze performance data to refine marketing strategies and deliver data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
Build and nurture strong relationships with key clinical stakeholders, opinion leaders, and healthcare institutions to gather valuable feedback, drive brand advocacy, and support the development of customer-centric solutions.
Ensure full compliance with Philips’ internal standards, industry regulations (e.g., FDA, EU MDR), and ethical guidelines in all clinical marketing activities, protecting the brand’s integrity and reputation.
Collaborate closely with the product sales team to develop account-specific clinical marketing strategies, support key customer engagements, and address complex clinical or marketing challenges to drive sales success and customer retention.
Stay abreast of industry advancements, clinical research breakthroughs, and regulatory changes, integrating relevant insights into marketing strategies to maintain a competitive edge in the dynamic healthcare market.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Education
Master’s degree in medical science, business administration, healthcare administration, marketing, clinical research, or a related field; candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of relevant clinical marketing experience will also be considered.
Work Experience
Minimum 3-5 years of progressive clinical marketing experience in the healthcare, medical device, or pharmaceutical industry, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive business results.
Prior experience leading cross-functional teams is a required qualification.
Demonstrated experience collaborating with clinical stakeholders, healthcare professionals, and regulatory teams is essential.
Preferred Qualifications
Education
A Master’s Degree in a clinical/ medical or healthcare-related field (e.g., Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, Public Health) combined with a concentration in Marketing or MBA is highly preferred.
Work Experience
Experience in the medical device industry—specifically with diagnostic, imaging, or patient care products—is highly desirable.
Proven experience leading successful product launches and driving market share growth in a competitive healthcare landscape is a strong plus.
Experience working in a global organization with regional marketing responsibilities is advantageous.
