The Customer Quality Manager is responsible for leading customer‑focused quality strategies and managing all quality communications with major customers in the China region. This role is highly focused on PCN (Product Change Notification) alignment, customer scorecard improvement, and strategic quality engagement. The CQM operates independently, aligns actions with company strategy to drive win‑win outcomes, and partners with global teams to ensure customer satisfaction and long‑term business success.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Quality Ownership
Serve as the primary quality interface for China‑based customers, ensuring timely, precise, and professional communication on all quality‑related topics.
Build strong and trusted relationships through proactive engagement, transparent communication, and effective follow‑through.
Translate customer quality expectations into actionable internal strategies that support both customer needs and company direction.
Customer Scorecard Improvement
Take ownership of customer quality scorecards and lead improvement initiatives for key metrics such as DPPM, complaint rate, responsiveness, and audit performance.
Analyze performance gaps and develop cross‑functional action plans to elevate customer satisfaction and strengthen supplier performance ratings.
Provide regular scorecard reviews, insights, and improvement recommendations to internal stakeholders and customer teams.
Quality Strategy & Company Alignment
Develop and execute customer‑centric quality strategies in alignment with company goals, business direction, and long‑term quality roadmap.
Drive win‑win outcomes by balancing customer expectations with company capabilities and strategic priorities.
Identify quality risks and lead mitigation actions to enhance product reliability, performance, and customer experience.
Independent Operation & Cross‑Functional Leadership
Work with strong independence, taking full ownership of customer quality matters and driving decisions with minimal supervision.
Represent the company in customer audits, QBRs, and technical discussions as the primary quality leader
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Science, or related technical field.
8+ years of experience in customer quality or external quality management, combined with experience in semiconductor supply‑chain manufacturing environments.
Strong understanding of PCN processes, customer quality requirements, and industry‑standard scorecard systems.
Hands‑on experience with SPC and data analysis tools such as JMP .
Ability to work independently with strong ownership, self‑motivation, and accountability.
Excellent communication skills in both Mandarin and English, with the ability to influence cross‑functional and cross‑regional teams.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and strategic‑thinking capabilities.
