Solstice Advanced Materials Assistant General Counsel in Shanghai, China
Key Responsibilities:
Provide legal counsel on IP and commercial transactions.
Draft and negotiate various agreements, ensuring strong understanding of IP terms.
Support new product introduction and freedom to practice assessments. - Collaborate on resolving potential IP and commercial disputes.
Ensure compliance with local laws and corporate regulations.
Stay updated on relevant laws and industry trends affecting the business.
Manage external counsel for disputes and litigation.
Train employees on legal policies and compliance.
Develop relationships with stakeholders and participate in marketing material reviews.
Mentor junior legal staff.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English.
B.S. or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
Pass the Chinese national bar and patent bar exams.
5–7 years of experience in intellectual property law and commercial transactions, preferably in law firm and in-house environments.
Desired Skills:
Strong knowledge of IP laws and commercial transaction laws.
Experience in drafting IP-related and legal agreements.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong business acumen with good judgment and decision-making abilities.
