Job Purpose: CDL B truck driver with primary responsibilities of operating a roll-off truck. Also, as needed, to collect refuse by driving collection vehicles on designated route; hauling, lifting, and loading items; operating compactors and loaders; maintaining safe and healthy operations, and equipment. Duties: * Organizes daily service by reviewing collection route and special instructions; inspecting and testing vehicles and equipment; completing vehicle preparation, such as, checking oil, fuel, water, tire pressure, etc.; obtaining required repairs. * Collects refuse by driving collection vehicles on designated routes; retrieving, hauling, lifting, and loading items; operating compactors and loading equipment; rejecting unacceptable items; instructing customers on proper containers and items for collection, placement of containers, and packaging procedures. * Disposes of refuse by driving to landfill; dumping load. * Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; performing operator preventive maintenance; submitting work orders for repairs. * Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following state and local driving rules, organization standards, and legal regulations; cleaning-up spills. * Documents loads by maintaining logs.    * Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
