About the Role
The Operations Team Lead 2nd Shift is responsible for coordinating nightly warehouse operations to ensure accurate and efficient order fulfillment within our Fresh Flowers division. This role plays a key part in maintaining operational efficiency, product quality, and team productivity in a fast-paced refrigerated warehouse environment.
Working closely with supervisors and warehouse team members, the Operations Team Lead helps keep workflows running smoothly from order picking and packing to replenishment and final order checks ensuring our customers receive high-quality product on time. This position combines hands-on leadership with real-time problem solving to support a safe, organized, and high-performing night shift operation.
What You’ll Do
• Coordinate nightly warehouse operations to support efficient order picking, packing, and shipping activities.
• Ensure order accuracy by working closely with picking teams and verifying that customer orders are fulfilled correctly and completely.
• Monitor pick tickets, packing queues, and workflow to maintain productivity and meet shipping deadlines.
• Guide warehouse team members through packing processes including dry packs, procona buckets, and other product preparation methods.
• Oversee inventory replenishment, product unboxing, and stocking to maintain consistent product availability.
• Support final quality checks to ensure orders meet company standards before shipment.
• Align staffing and workflows based on order volume to maintain steady production and minimize operational bottlenecks.
• Partner with supervisors and team members to promote safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the operation.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This role requires the ability to work in a refrigerated warehouse environment maintained at approximately 34°F. Team members must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift and perform tasks that involve bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching.
The position requires the ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Employees will also regularly use handheld or wrist-mounted scanning devices to manage inventory and order tracking.

Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 3+ years of warehouse or distribution center experience.
• 1–2 years of experience leading or coordinating warehouse teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lead by example while motivating and guiding team members during high-volume operations.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Experience using warehouse technology such as handheld scanners, ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in time-sensitive situations.
• Experience working with perishable goods or fresh floral products is a plus but not required.
