Enviri Corporation Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Intern in Seven Fields, Pennsylvania

An Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Intern assists with implementing safety programs, auditing facilities, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Key duties include conducting risk assessments, updating safety documentation (SDS), incident investigations, and supporting sustainability projects
The role is hybrid and requires candidates to reside locally to support occasional on-site travel.
Common Responsibilities
Safety Inspections: Conduct walkthroughs, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards.
Documentation & Compliance: Review and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS), chemical inventories, and compliance records.
Training and Communication: Assist in developing safety training materials and communicating policies to employees.
Incident Response: Participate in incident investigations and assist with developing corrective/preventive actions.
Data Analysis: Compile and analyze safety data, such as tracking proactive and reactive metrics, to identify trends.
Environmental Support: Assist with waste management, sustainability initiatives, and hazardous waste documentation.
Education: Pursuing a degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial), or related STEM field.
Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), strong communication skills and organizational and time management skills.
Knowledge: Basic understanding of safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) is preferred.
Physical Ability: Ability to walk the production floor for long periods, lift equipment (up to 50 lbs.), and work in manufacturing environments.
Travel: Ability to travel up to 25% (Passport and ability to travel to Canada is preferred but not required).
