*About SAP STAR Program  *

Global Student Training and Rotation (STAR) Program offers university students hands-on industry experience at SAP, the world’s leading software provider. As part of a global program across 14 countries, STAR students work on real business projects and develop professional skills. Unlike most internships, this program allows students to continue their studies at university without taking a break or needing to graduate first. Upon graduation, you will have opportunities to apply for open positions within SAP and potentially become a valued member of our team.

Education and Qualifications

Open to undergraduate students who meet the following requirements and process the core competencies listed below. 

• Expected to graduate in Feb. 2027, Aug. 2027, or Feb. 2028 (required)

• Course work in Database, Data Structures, Operating Systems, Algorithms, AI, etc.

• Experience in AI coding, such as with github copilot, Cline, Cursor, etc.

• Experience in development on Linux environment

• Experience in Python, Vue.js and SQL

• Intermediate communication skills in English (Fluent is a plus)

• Curious and agile mindset , with openness to learning, adaptability in a fast‑changing environment, and willingness to explore new approaches

• Strong problem‑solving and creative‑thinking skills , including the ability to break down complex issues, collaborate effectively across teams, and communicate ideas clearly

• High emotional intelligence and cultural awareness , supporting inclusive teamwork, constructive collaboration, and thoughtful stakeholder engagement

• Growing foundation in business acumen and emerging technologies — especially artificial intelligence , paired with a proactive, results‑driven mindset and readiness to take initiative

Role Overview: Developer

The program includes a rotation system that allows you to participate in three different projects or teams within the organization. Your first rotation will be in the HANA QA Infra Apps Team.

As HANA Quality Infra Apps team, we are working on ensuring the entire software development cycle including development process and build & test infrastructure for the continuous integration and continuous delivery of software products developed by global development teams in SAP Data & Analytics. For instance, we are building a next-generation, end-to-end CI application that orchestrates builds, test planning, execution, and results reporting, delivering seamless UX and AI-driven insights.

Here is the example of a project topic:

• Conversational AI for HANA Cloud CI Using Joule

• Intelligent quality support tool with conversational AI for HANA/HANA Cloud CI

• AI-based Intelligent test configuration tool for HANA/HANA Cloud CI

Program & Work Details

• 18-month structured program with learning, mentorship, and rotations

• Employment Type: Fixed-term Intern 18 months

• Probation Period: 3 months from the date of hire (extendable if necessary)

• The detailed working conditions will be subject to the employment agreement

• Full-time (40 hrs/week) during breaks; part-time (20 hrs/week) or full-time during semesters

• Flexible hours aligned with academic schedules

• Eligible to apply for full-time roles after 9 months and graduation

• Supports university field practicum / academic credit programs (대학 현장실습 프로그램 / 학점인정 프로그램).

Hiring Process

• Offer Announcement: May to June 2026

• Official start date: July 6, 2026
