ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing the company’s most strategic national and/or global accounts. This role drives long-term revenue growth, strengthens executive-level relationships, and ensures cross-functional alignment to deliver value-based solutions to key customers.
Key responsibilities include:
Own and manage strategic national and/or global customer accounts, acting as the primary point of contact
Develop and execute multi-year strategic account plans aligned with customer business objectives and company growth strategy
Build and maintain senior/executive-level relationships within customer organizations
Drive revenue growth, market share expansion, and profitability within assigned strategic accounts
Identify and prioritize new business opportunities, including upsell, cross-sell, and solution expansion
Lead complex contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and commercial agreements with a win-win mindset
Coordinate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering, Service, Supply Chain, and Finance
Ensure consistent global or national execution by aligning regional sales teams and global stakeholders
Conduct regular business reviews and performance tracking against KPIs
Monitor customer satisfaction, manage escalations, and ensure long-term retention
Gather and share market, customer, and competitive intelligence to inform business strategy
Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM reporting
Travel as required to support customer engagement and global coordination
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Engineering, or related field preferred)
8+ years of experience in strategic account management, key account sales, or enterprise B2B sales
Proven success managing large, complex national or global customers in a manufacturing, OEM, industrial, or capital goods environment
Strong experience in value-based selling and consultative sales
Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate at executive level
Experience working in matrixed, global organizations
Strong commercial, financial, and strategic planning skills
Willingness to travel frequently (typically 40–70%, role dependent)

고객사 C-level / 임원급 과의 전략적 관계 구축 및 유지
담당 전략 고객 내 매출 성장, 시장 점유율 확대 및 수익성 개선 주도
Upsell, Cross-sell, 신규 솔루션 확산 등 비즈니스 성장 기회 발굴 및 우선순위 설정
복잡한 계약, 가격, 상업 조건 협상 을 주도하여 Win-Win 결과 도출
영업, 마케팅, 제품, 엔지니어링, 서비스, 공급망, 재무 등 내부 유관부서와의 크로스펑션 협업
글로벌 또는 전국 단위의 일관된 실행을 위해 지역/법인 영업 조직 및 글로벌 조직 정렬
정기적인 고객 비즈니스 리뷰(QBR) 및 KPI 기반 성과 관리
고객 만족도 관리 및 이슈/에스컬레이션 해결을 통한 장기 고객 유지
시장, 고객, 경쟁사에 대한 인사이트 및 정보 수집·공유
정확한 매출 예측(Forecast), 파이프라인 관리 및 CRM 운영
고객 미팅 및 글로벌 협업을 위한 국내·해외 출장 수행
자격 요건 (Qualifications)
학사 학위 이상 (경영, 공학, 기술 관련 전공 우대)
전략/키 어카운트 매니지먼트 또는 B2B 영업 경력 8년 이상
제조, OEM, 산업재, 자본재 또는 B2B 솔루션 환경에서의 전략 고객 관리 경험
대형·복합 고객(Account) 및 장기 세일즈 사이클 관리에 대한 입증된 성과
가치 기반 세일즈(Value Selling) 및 컨설팅형 영업 경험
임원급 고객 대상 커뮤니케이션 및 협상 역량
글로벌/매트릭스 조직 환경에서의 업무 경험
전략적 사고, 재무/비즈니스 이해도 및 계정 플래닝 역량
잦은 출장 가능 (포지션에 따라 약 4070%)
