Your role and responsibilities

As a Client Engineering - AI Engineer, you will bring solutions together for AI journey for clients and creating business-focused AI native applications to solve real-world business problems using the IBM WatsonX platform.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Build pilots, prototypes, agent workflows for client POC: Engage in developing AI services and deploying AI platform to solve real-world business problems in various industries using the IBM WatsonX platform. This involves covering all stages of the AI solution lifecycle and Co-lead technical workshops withs ales team as well.

• Cover AI Solution Lifecycle: Perform tasks across the AI solution lifecycle, including Data Engineering, Train, Validate, Tune, Deploy, AI Operations, and AI Governance to create a trusted end-to-end AI solution.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Exposure to AI Development: Familiarity with developing AI services and deploying AI platform to solve real-world business problems using platforms like IBM watsonx.

• Understanding of AI Solution Lifecycle: Exposure to various stages of the AI solution lifecycle, including Data Engineering, Train, Validate, Tune, Deploy, AI Operations, and AI Governance.

• Familiarity with AI Platforms: Experience working with AI platforms, such as IBM watsonx and Cloud AI services

• Data Engineering Fundamentals: Basic understanding of data engineering principles and practices to support AI system development and deployment.

Day-to-Day Duties:

• AI-Native PoC Development: Design and implement AI-native Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and agentic workflows using platforms such as watsonx Orchestrate and IBM BoB to demonstrate tangible business value. Collaborate with product and cross-functional teams to develop scalable, repeatable solution patterns and rapidly iterate on architectures to accelerate adoption and long-term success.

• Client Engagement and Technical Wins: Engage closely with enterprise clients to identify strategic business priorities, technical challenges, and unmet needs, and convert them into actionable AI solution strategies that drive technical success and business impact.

• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document solution architectures, key design decisions, implementation details, and lessons learned in a structured manner. Produce technical documentation, white papers, and best practice guides, while contributing to internal knowledge sharing and capability development across the organization.

• Industry Trends and Innovation: Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in Agentic AI, foundation models, and large language models. Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to assess their potential impact on solution design and implementation.

• Technical Skills:

• 컴퓨터공학, 인공지능, 데이터사이언스 또는 유관 전공의 학사·석사를 졸업(졸업예정)하였거나 이에 준하는 기술적 배경

• Git, Linux 환경에서의 개발 경험을 포함한 기본적인 소프트웨어 엔지니어링 역량

• 강력한 Python 프로그래밍 역량

• 머신러닝 및 딥러닝 기본 개념에 대한 이해와 PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras 등 프레임워크 활용 경험

• Foundation Model 및 Large Language Model(LLM)에 대한 이해와 NLP·텍스트 분석 등 관련 실습 또는 프로젝트 경험

• LangChain, LangGraph 등 LLM 오케스트레이션 프레임워크를 활용한 Generative AI 및 Agentic AI 실습 또는 프로젝트 경험 (에이전트 기반 아키텍처, 툴 호출, 멀티스텝 추론, 워크플로우 설계 등)

• 기술적 문제를 구조적으로 분석하고 해결하는 사고력과 새로운 기술에 대한 학습 의지

• 원활한 커뮤니케이션 능력 및 업무 협업이 가능한 수준의 영어 커뮤니케이션 능력

우대 요건 (Preferred Qualifications)

• 논문, 기술 블로그, 오픈소스 기여 등 외부 공개 가능한 기술 활동 경험

• OpenAPI, MCP(Model Context Protocol) 등을 활용한 AI 시스템 통합 또는 에이전트-비즈니스 시스템 연동 경험

• 모델 성능, 검색 품질, 에이전트 동작 등을 평가하기 위한 지표 및 방법론에 대한 이해

• Agile, Scrum 등 협업 중심의 개발 방식에 대한 이해 또는 프로젝트 경험

• Docker, Kubernetes 기반 cloud-native 환경에 대한 이해 또는 실습 경험

• Red Hat OpenShift 등 엔터프라이즈 Kubernetes 플랫폼 경험

• AWS, Azure, GCP 등 클라우드 플랫폼에서 AI/ML 워크로드 또는 애플리케이션을 배포·운영해본 경험
