BorgWarner Inc. Supervisor, Stockroom -Buyer I in Seneca, South Carolina
Lead the development and management of certain global/regional commodity strategies designed to leverage BW collective purchasing power and maximize synergistic opportunities to optimize supplier performance, reduced total supply costs while meeting our technology expectations throughout the supply chain. Ensure commodity plan deliverables meet designed strategies. Negotiate key supplier contracts. Provide global leadership in the communication, implementation, coordination, and enforcement of commodity strategies.

Standard Duties :
75% Supervisor
Lead, coach, encourage, develop, and supervise team members, Train, assign, and delegate responsibilities/ projects, Follow up on performance progress,
Schedule 1 on 1 meetings with every team member
Schedule continuous team meetings, Complete yearly performance reviews
Develop back up schedules and holiday schedules, Respond to stock out/emergency calls/ emails after hours and on weekends, Be available for team on every shift, Ensure all activities of team are completed accurately and in a timely manner, Audit work/ transactions, Provide support, Serve as a backup when no coverage is available, Lead and develop new projects to improve tool crib processes, Review and approve new add to stocks

Scope of position is defined by basic problem solving and the relation to the overall assignment or project.
Objectives are defined, and approach is negotiated.
Work is generally not supervised in detail.
Review of work is based on technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy at interim points
25% Buyer I
Lead and develop negotiation strategies to achieve cost savings, schedule meetings and meet with different department colleagues and suppliers
Ensure expedites are handled in an accurate and timely manner, ensure invoices are accurate and up to date
Provide support to other departments/ projects, create scheduling agreements
Create purchase orders, update purchase orders, update pricing in SAP,
Provide purchasing support to other departments
Update/ add new supplier information, Enter new part numbers to SAP
Audit work/ transactions
Review and approve new add to stocks
Lead and develop negotiation strategies to achieve cost savings

Additional Information:
- Travel is occasionally required, up to 5% of the time.
Safety and Physical Requirements:

Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs. on occasion.

Education & Experience
High School diploma/GED required, or basic skills assessment required.
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Automotive knowledge and experience strongly preferred
3 -5 Years’ supervisory experience preferred
Must be proficient in MS Office Suite and SAP or equivalent
3 to 5 Years’ experience in related MRO procurement

Salary Range:
$62,000 - $85,250
