Responsibilities:

  • Minimum 4 years of RN experience

  • BSN preferred.

  • Current RN license (state or compact).

  • CPR certification (AHA standard) within 30 days of hire.

  • UPMC-approved nursing certification within 1 year, or Master's in Nursing/DNP to substitute.

  • Annual completion of a professional contribution approved by Unit Director.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide age-specific, patient-centered care across the lifespan.

  • Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and problem-solving skills.

  • Physical stamina for walking, standing, lifting, and patient positioning.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Current RN License

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) w/in 1 year of hire

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

  • Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC) w/in 60 days of hire

  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIH) w/in 6 months of hire

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) w/in 1 year of hire

  • Registered Nurse (RN) OR Temporary Practice Permit (TPP)

  • Act 33 with renewal

  • Act 34 with renewal

  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
