Aerotek Solder Technician in Seminole, Florida

Solder Technician – Join a Growing High‑Tech Team

Shift Options:

  • Day Shift: 6:00am – 6:00pm

  • Night Shift: 6:00pm – 6:00am

  • Schedule: 2 days on → 2 days off → 1 day on → 1 day off (predictable 12‑hour rotating schedule)

About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled Solder Technician to support our advanced electronics manufacturing team. In this role, you’ll perform hands‑on soldering and rework using lead‑free solder on thick printed circuit boards after automated processes such as SMT and selective soldering.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys precision work, problem solving, and working with cutting‑edge technology in a supportive, well‑equipped facility.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform touch‑up, rework, and component placement using a soldering iron operating around 900°F

  • Rework a wide variety of components—from fine‑pitch 0402 parts to through‑hole, diodes, resistors, capacitors, ICs, QFPs, DPAKs, and more

  • Follow detailed solder instructions, apply proper flux, and maintain clean, well‑prepared solder tips

  • Work with both SMT and through‑hole packages with a focus on accuracy and quality

  • Ensure all work meets internal quality standards and (if certified) IPC/J‑STD‑001 requirements

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of experience as a solderer, rework technician, or similar role

  • Experience with soldering irons and hot‑air rework tools

  • Fine‑pitch soldering capability

  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with lead‑free/Pb‑free solder

  • IPC & J‑STD‑001 certifications (big plus!)

  • Comfort working on thick or high‑mass boards

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seminole, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.45/hr.
