Aerotek Solder Technician in Seminole, Florida
Now Hiring Electronics Soldering Technicians in Tampa, FL
In this role, you’ll support production by performing precision hand soldering and rework on electronic assemblies, including PCBs and cables/wires as applicable. You’ll:
Perform manual soldering of surface mount (SMT) and thru‑hole components to IPC‑A‑610 standards (including Class 3 expectations in some programs)
Use a microscope , tweezers, flux pens, and precision tools to place, solder, and rework fine‑pitch components
Read and work from computerized blueprints, schematics, drawings, and work instructions
Inspect and verify workmanship; support first article inspection (FAI) and in‑process checks
Document work and move jobs through workflow systems (e.g., barcode scanning / MES)
Troubleshoot solder defects, perform touch‑up/rework, and maintain a clean, organized workstation

What We’re Looking For
2+ years of hands‑on soldering experience (SMT + thru‑hole; fine‑pitch preferred)
Comfort working to IPC‑A‑610 workmanship expectations
Experience working under a microscope and handling small components with precision
Ability to interpret drawings/schematics and follow detailed work instructions
Strong dexterity, attention to detail, and pride in clean, consistent solder joints
Nice to Have (Helps You Stand Out)
Rework/repair expereince (hot air, wick, fine‑pitch rework)
IPC certification (IPC‑A‑610 / J‑STD)
Experience with Class 3 electronics environments
Work Environment
Clean, organized, climate‑controlled manufacturing setting (varies by site/program)
You may be asked to complete a hands‑on solder test (often under microscope) as part of the process

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.45/hr.
