Job Summary
The YSIC Operations Lead - People Impact supports the Director of Strategic Impact by energizing staff engagement, fostering a positive culture, and leading community-facing initiatives across the Social Impact Center. Serving as the primary on-site contact at the designated Staff & Community Hub (South King County at the Brugger Building in Auburn or Central King County at the 2100 Building in Seattle), this role cultivates a welcoming, well-coordinated environment for staff, participants, and the community by maintaining operational excellence, coordinating resources, and applying a youth-centered, trauma-informed approach across all Hub activities.
This position is at the Social Impact Center Y, the social services branch of YMCA of Greater Seattle (YGS). The mission of the Social Impact Center Y is to accelerate young people’s ability to build safe, successful, and happy lives. Every year, we serve 5,000 children, youth, young adults, and families across King County with programs that aim to strengthen young people’s ability to develop to their fullest potential through four strategies: reducing risk factors; navigating systems towards successful life transition; ensuring stability, safety and wellness in times of crisis; and building competencies and social capital. The Social Impact Center Y’s programs include housing, behavioral health, foster care licensing, violence prevention, education, and employment. Many of the young people we serve have had involvement in the foster care, criminal justice system, and/or homelessness systems.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Hiring Range: $27.00 - $31.00/hr
Responsibilities
Staff Hub Operations & Coordination
Serves as the visible point of contact for staff, participants, visitors, and the community at the assigned Staff Hub.
Coordinates daily Hub operations, ensuring a safe, organized, and welcoming environment.
Maintains workspace standards, accessibility, and safety, escalating issues to leadership as needed.
Oversees Hub equipment, supplies, vendor relationships, and contracts.
Manages accounts payable and receivable for the Hub, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
Supports space readiness, including conference rooms, events, and minor technical/device issues.
Chairs the Staff Hub Safety Committee, collaborating with Operations Leadership and program directors to maintain safe, accessible spaces.
Staff Engagement & Culture Support
Support implementation of staff engagement, culture, and morale initiatives led by the Director of Strategic Impact.
Assist with planning and coordinating workshops, development opportunities, and staff-focused events.
Collect informal staff feedback to improve clarity, increase transparency, support collaboration, and promote continuous learning.
Serve as an ambassador of YGS values, modeling professionalism, equity, and inclusion, and fostering a welcoming, affirming, and supportive environment.
Respond to on-site incidents appropriately, escalating to leadership as needed.
Community Engagement & Partnerships
Support community engagement activities in partnership with the Director of Strategic Impact.
Establish and nurture positive, collaborative relationships with co-tenants and neighbors to support the Social Impact Center’s community presence.
Assist with volunteer programs, community outreach, and event logistics.
Assist in coordinating engagement efforts across branches and Centers of Excellence to connect teams, uncover shared opportunities, and amplify impact.
Support board and committee engagement, helping promote membership that reflects the diversity of participants and the communities the Social Impact Center serves.

Responsible for ensuring staff are properly screened, trained, supervised and held accountable to the organization’s abuse risk management standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, communications, nonprofit management, human services, or related field — or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in staff engagement, community-facing work, volunteer coordination, office operations, or related roles.
At least 1 year of supervisory, leadership, or lead-level experience preferred, demonstrating the ability to guide, support, or influence team members and initiatives.
Experience in nonprofit, social services, or mission-driven environments preferred, or demonstrable interest and commitment to the populations the Social Impact Center serves.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of and previous experience with diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.).
Ability to speak any language in addition to English may be helpful.
