This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. This role is part of the Lunar Transportation business unit, which develops Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. As part of a hardworking team of engineers, you will design and build the Hardware and software test assets for our Lunar Lander. The test assets will provide an environment to integrate the electronics and software for system development, verification, and validation. This will include software simulations and hardware emulators, as well as software for interfacing with these simulators and emulators. Responsibilities: Participate in the requirements, design, architecture, procurement, build, integration, and checkout of the component testers Support a development environment with open box testing and card to card level testing. Create and release drawings of the component hardware infrastructure, rack layouts, harnesses, breakout boxes/panels, power distribution, and grounding. Identify and procure equipment, and coordinate with technicians for the build, assembly, and installation of equipment and harnesses. Support the integration of flight avionics, hardware, operator consoles, and test equipment to verify the requirements and performance of avionics units under test. Support checkout of the avionics systems and solving technical problems. Maintain configuration control of the drawings and the tester configuration. Support problem investigation and resolution. Minimum Qualifications: B.S. degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or related technical degree 2+ years industry experience with avionics systems testing Experience planning, executing, and reporting electronics testing Ability to produce electrical schematics and wiring diagrams Proficiency in the use of standard electronic lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power meters, data acquisition cards, etc) Preferred Qualifications: M.S. degree in electrical engineering Experience designing avionics labs, electrical ground support equipment, and/or test assets for hardware in the loop testing Familiarity with sensors including linear variable differential transformers, resistance temperature detectors, thermocouples, pressure transducers, and resolvers Proficiency with open box testing and FPGAs.
