This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface. Blue Origin is seeking aLevel 3 Systems Engineer(Analysis)to join our Lunar Permanence team. In this role, you will apply analytical methods to systems engineering challenges, performing quantitative assessments that inform design decisions across the program. You will conduct trade studies, develop performance models, analyze system behaviors, andvalidaterequirements through engineering analysis. Your analyticalexpertisewill contribute directly tooptimizingthe performance, reliability, and compatibility of systems supporting sustained lunar presence. Key Responsibilities: Perform quantitative systems engineering analyses across Lunar Permanence program elements Develop andmaintainperformance models and simulations to predict system behavior Support trade studies using analytical methods to evaluate design alternatives Analyze interface requirements and verify compatibility through quantitative assessment Develop and track technical budgets (mass, power, data, etc.) using analytical approaches Identifysystem-level risks through analysis and support development of mitigation strategies Create clear, well-documented analytical products that communicate technical findings effectively Support requirements development and verification through quantitative analysis Participate in technical reviews to present analytical results and recommendations Collaborate with subsystem teams to integrate analytical methods into the systems engineering process Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related technical field 4-7 years of experience in engineering roles with emphasis on analytical work Demonstrated experience applying quantitative methods to systems engineering problems Proficiencywith analytical tools and programming languages (MATLAB, Python, or equivalent) Experience with system modeling, simulation, or performance analysis Ability to translate complex analytical results into actionable engineering recommendations Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications: Experience with aerospace systems analysis (trajectory, GN&C, thermal, structural, or related) Understanding ofstatistics and uncertainty quantification Experience with trade studymethodologyand design optimization Familiarity with lunar mission concepts or deep space systems Experience integrating analyses across multiple engineering disciplines Knowledge of NASA analysis standards and practices Demonstrated ability to balance analytical rigor with practical engineering solutions Compensation Range for: CO applicants is $110,938.00 - $155,312.85 WA applicants is $121,023.00 - $169,432.20 Other site ranges may differ Culture Statement Don't meet all desired requirements?
