What this job involves: This position manages two interconnected sustainability programs within a leading global organization's real estate and facilities team: Zero Carbon Certification and Supplier Decarbonization. You will implement zero carbon certification across the client's global portfolio while simultaneously driving supplier engagement initiatives to reduce Scope 3 emissions. This role contributes to JLL's business objectives by balancing strategic program development with hands-on technical leadership, creating standardized processes for consistent program delivery, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance client sustainability performance and market leadership in real estate decarbonization. What your day-to-day will look like: Lead implementation of ILFI's Zero Carbon Volume Certification program across client's global portfolio while developing standardized processes and documentation systems Review project documentation for compliance with ILFI Zero Carbon Certification requirements and serve as primary point of contact with ILFI Monitor and verify building performance during certification periods including utility bills and metering data review Build and maintain strategic relationships with priority suppliers to drive decarbonization initiatives including construction materials and facilities management providers Design and implement supplier decarbonization frameworks with templates, tools, and tracking mechanisms Partner with procurement and design teams to integrate decarbonization requirements into supplier selection and RFP processes Create and maintain training resources and technical guidance for design and construction teams while facilitating cross-functional collaboration. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, architecture, or related field with advanced degree preferred 8+ years of experience in real estate sustainability roles with demonstrated experience in green building certification programs Experience in embodied carbon analysis or life cycle assessment with strong understanding of Scope 3 emissions and carbon accounting principles Proven track record of successful program management and stakeholder engagement Experience working with design and construction teams with understanding of construction processes Strong understanding of building energy efficiency strategies and carbon reduction approaches Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Preferred Qualifications: Living Future Accreditation (LFA) with other relevant certifications including LEED AP, WELL AP, or CEM Experience with EC3 and/or other LCA software with building energy modeling background Knowledge of ILFI Zero Carbon Certification requirements and processes Track record of developing and implementing supplier engagement programs Experience in change management and negotiation with global teams and stakeholders Understanding of annual compliance audits for design and construction sustainability standards Background in carbon accounting teams collaboration and Scope 3 emissions tracking.
