Providence St. Joseph Health Supervisor Clinical Pharmacy - Specialty Pharmacy in Seattle, Washington
Description The Pharmacy Supervisor is a licensed pharmacist who plays a key leadership role in ensuring highquality pharmacy operations and exceptional patient care. Working closely with the Pharmacy Manager, this position oversees daily workflow, staffing, orientation, and the ongoing development of pharmacy caregivers. The Pharmacy Supervisor champions a collaborative, teambased approach to service, ensuring the safe, effective, and compliant use of medications across all areas of practice. This role is essential in supporting pharmaceutical care services-including drug information, medication distribution, and clinical pharmacy functions-while applying agespecific knowledge spanning from neonates to geriatrics (where applicable). The Pharmacy Supervisor also partners with informatics and medication safety teams to optimize and manage pharmacy technologies and clinical systems. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the daily pharmacy workflow to ensure safe, efficient, and highquality operations. Support staffing functions, including scheduling, workload distribution, and resource allocation. Lead the orientation, training, and professional development of pharmacy caregivers. Foster a positive, collaborative team environment that enhances patient care and service excellence. Ensure the safe and appropriate use of medications in compliance with all regulatory, legal, and accreditation requirements. Deliver pharmaceutical care services, including drug information, medication distribution, and clinical pharmacy support, with attention to agespecific needs from neonates through geriatrics. Collaborate with informatics and medication safety teams to support and manage pharmacy technologies and systems. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree: A graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy Upon hire: Washington Pharmacist License 2 years of applicable pharmacy practice Preferred Qualifications: PharmD 3 years of experience as a Pharmacist working in a Specialty Pharmacy Why Join Providence Swedish?
