Metropolis Employee Services, LLC. Staff Machine Learning Data Engineer in Seattle, Washington
Metropolis Employee Services LLC seeks Staff Machine Learning Data Engineer for its Seattle, WA office. Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, and develop and maintain ETL (extract, transform, load) processes to support both real-time and batch data flows. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments to optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing for machine learning models. Work closely with machine learning engineers and data scientists to understand data requirements and optimize datasets for model training. Design and conduct statistical experiments to evaluate the performance of machine learning models and new product features. Analyze large-scale datasets to derive actionable insights that inform product and engineering decisions. Develop and implement policies to maintain data integrity across structured and unstructured data. Perform data validation checks and audit security protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards. Set up and manage monitoring systems to track data pipeline performance and detect anomalies. Identify and address bottlenecks to improve efficiency, and design key metrics to evaluate system performance and the impact of features. Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and compelling data visualizations, reports, and presentations. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure data systems align with business goals and stay informed about advancements in data science and machine learning to drive innovation. Requires Master's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related. Must have 36 months of experience in an occupation related to Software Engineering. Experience must include 36 months in/with the following: AWS (Amazon Web Services) Cloud Platform; ML (Machine Learning) Feature Engineering on Cloud-based Infrastructure; Batch and Streaming Data Transformation; Distributed Systems with Hadoop and Spark; ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Tools such as Airflow and AWS (Amazon Web Services) Glue; and Data Modeling and Data Warehouse Architectural Design and Development.
