What You Will Do: GFT is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer, Transit & Rail to join our Seattle, WA office. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Leads the development of project planning and design concepts and criteria Leads development of plans, project specifications, and cost estimates for final design transit and transportation projects. Responsible for coordinating with other disciplines within the project team to resolve design conflicts May develop basic to moderate scopes of work and fee estimates independently. Assists in project management activities for small and medium complexity projects and interfaces with the client. Provides QA/QC reviews May supervise a staff of engineers and other technical specialists Responsible for working closely with clients for client satisfaction as well as business development purposes Responsible to work on multiple concurrent assignments and time management Responsible for supporting the team in obtaining the permits necessary to complete the project and to provide interaction with the permitting agencies. Education | Experience: What you bring to our firm: BS in Civil Engineering Professional Engineer (PE) License 10+ years of applicable experience Expertise with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Expertise with CADD Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to lead client presentations Experience with drainage design and utility design preferred Experience with project proposals and presentations preferred Compensation: The Salary range for this position is $155,000-$165,000.
