Amazon Sr. Program Manager, Selling Partner Identity Verification (SPIV) in Seattle, Washington

Description

The Selling Partner Identity Verification (SPIV) team is looking for a motivated, data savvy risk manager to act as a force multiplier supporting our team's mitigation and prevention of fraud and abuse. This position will manage a portfolio of Gap prevention projects aimed at making it harder for bad actors to operate on our stores as well as internal team mechanisms. You will interact with partner teams and stakeholders in operations, product, risk, tech, and science roles in order to execute against your projects. An ideal candidate is highly flexible, a strong communicator, and demonstrates significant bias for action, and loves diving deep.

Key job responsibilities

Have strong analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes.

Be proficient at managing change implementation for multiple programs cross-vertically; collaborate with stakeholders and/or managers to scope efforts, set project milestones, and drive delivery to meet deadlines to meet program goals.

Be an experienced team member who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and influence cross-functional teams, such as product management, technical program management, engineering and science teams.

Interact with stakeholders at multiple levels, supporting business and product teams to define and deliver solutions enabling streamlined standard processes and high quality experiences.

Plan and manage multiple parallel projects.

Create, maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders and senior management.

Be flexible to changing priorities, open to new ideas and enjoy working with ambiguity.

A day in the life

Propose and gain alignment on mitigation and prevention plan with partner team stakeholders.

Launch, monitor and communicate with stakeholders about the progress of current mitigation and prevention.

Influence stakeholders to adopt, integrate, or fix gaps in order to allow sunsetting of existing mitigations.

Monitor reporting of established mechanisms and evaluate for effectiveness.

Inspect metrics and anecdotes to find false positives and false negatives, then develop improvements to address misses.

Listen, learn, engage, communicate, execute, analyze, and influence.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
