Amazon Sr. Product Manager Technical, AWS Startups in Seattle, Washington
Description
Trusted by more startups around the world, AWS makes the power of cloud computing accessible for all by giving founders everywhere access to the same technology that powers the world’s largest companies. With nearly two decades of experience supporting hundreds of thousands of startups, including 80% of unicorns, we democratize cloud computing to help founders bring their innovative ideas to life.
The AWS Startups team builds innovative products and platforms that support startup customers throughout their journey—from initial onboarding and credit programs to migration tools and scale solutions. Our portfolio includes products serving thousands of startup customers globally, and we partner with business development, field marketing, and solutions architecture teams worldwide.
We're seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager - Technical to drive innovation in our startup-focused organization. You'll spearhead the development of a groundbreaking data-driven early signal detection system to identify high-potential startups and build solutions to drive engagement with them. This is a unique opportunity to build a comprehensive data product that combines multiple data sources—including third-party data, service usage patterns, architecture analysis, and best practices documents—to create predictive models that identify new opportunities.
You'll own the product strategy and execution for a multi-faceted data product that:
Identifies early signals from multiple data sources to flag high-potential startups before traditional sales metrics catch them
Predicts customer workload evolution patterns by analyzing service usage, architecture diagrams, and best practices to anticipate next logical workloads
Integrates seamlessly into sales workflows, embedding insights directly into pipeline reviews and account planning activities rather than creating standalone dashboards
The ideal candidate brings proven experience in technical product management, strong understanding of cloud computing and infrastructure, and experience working with AI/ML technologies. You should have a track record of launching successful products, excellence in cross-functional team leadership, and data-driven decision-making skills.
You'll play a crucial role in democratizing cloud technology for startups worldwide, working with AWS's comprehensive startup resources including AWS service credits, technical training, startup events, exclusive offers, and personalized growth plans. Join us in leveling the playing field for startup founders globally by creating products that make world-changing ideas possible.
Key job responsibilities
Own end-to-end product lifecycle from vision and strategy through development, launch, and iteration for the early signal detection system
Drive product discussions (e.g. vision, goals, narratives) with executives (tech/non-tech).
Partner with data science teams to translate predictive models and data insights into actionable sales workflows
Design and deliver sales workflow integrations that embed intelligence directly into existing tools used daily by field teams
Work with engineering teams to integrate third-party data sources and build scalable data pipelines
Define success metrics and attribution models that connect data signals to sales outcomes
Navigate complex cross-functional relationships spanning data science, engineering, business development, field marketing, and solutions architecture across multiple geographies
Drive prioritization decisions and influence senior leadership through data-driven insights
Align stakeholders including Business Development, Sales, Solution Architects, and Marketing
