Blue Origin LLC Sr. Manufacturing Engineer in Seattle, Washington

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a hardworking team of engineers, you will be responsible for providing manufacturing definition in support of Blue Origin's Terawave Satellite Program. Tasks will include creating build & flow documents, design for manufacturing, creating manufacturing BOMs, authoring work instructions, determining build schedules, and supporting the product on the production floor. You will work in a cross functional team role with tooling engineering, facilities engineering, and project management functions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Translate engineering intent and drawings into functional hardware by creating manufacturing bills of materials and work instructions Establish manufacturing work centers by identifying/procuring required tools, defining facility requirements, and organizing work areas Provide technical support as the point of contact during build execution, including shipside/lineside support for production teams Develop comprehensive build artifacts including build plans, duration estimates, index plans, condition of assembly, and DFMEA/PFMEA documentation Lead development efforts to create build plans that enable optimal takt and cycle times Perform trade studies with design teams to enhance manufacturing processes and achieve production rate targets Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) through generation, processing, and closure Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering. 10+ years of experience in an engineering capacity in an aerospace environment, including internships Prior internship experience in areas of aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicle structures, automotive manufacturing or similar. Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing, including knowledge of GD&T. Strong written, personal, technical, and software skills (CAD, Issue Tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc). Preferred Qualifications: Hands on experience with building flight hardware Experience with design, development or production of launch vehicle, spacecraft, or satellites. Proficient with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software (Creo or CATIA V5) Customer focused with a proven track record to work cooperatively with teams of different skills across large geographic distances. Strong organizational and analytical skills Compensation Range for: CO applicants is $123,611.00 - $173,054.70 WA applicants is $134,434.00 - $188,207.25 Other site ranges may differ Culture Statement Don't meet all desired requirements?
