Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to be a key member of the EC2 Pricing team. This role will own end-to-end finance support for EC2 pricing strategy, deal evaluation, revenue planning and P&L support. Additionally, this role will drive pricing decisions for large-scale AI workloads and support complex, high-value customer deals across both Core and Generative AI.
The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively, manage multiple time-sensitive deliverables and evaluate risks and tradeoffs in a rapidly evolving environment. The individual will also possess strong business partnership skills and collaborate effectively with product, engineering, sales, and finance stakeholders.
Key job responsibilities
Partner with Amazon EC2 product and sales management leadership team to develop a strategic roadmap for pricing and revenue growth.
Lead pricing for new services and ongoing pricing decisions for existing services.
Develop plans and operational strategies for new initiatives to drive service adoption.
Support new service/region launches; understand cost models and drive pricing decisions.
Support the business P&Ls and influence business decisions that drive revenue and/or capital expenditures.
Manage large customer deals; develop and evaluate new pricing constructs for the service.
Provide deep analytics and communicate effectively to senior business team leaders.
Analyze new business ideas, make analytical judgments, and provide data intensive analyses to drive meaningful change.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
Experience as a lean sensei, or experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer
Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
Preferred Qualifications
4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
MBA, or CPA
Knowledge of Tableau
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Six Sigma Black Belt
4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
