Zoox, Inc. Software Engineer in Seattle, Washington
Design, improve, analyze and implement calibration algorithms for several sensors including Lidar, radar, and cameras for Zoox autonomous vehicles. Build a simulation framework to validate and improve autonomous driving software. Developing effective scenario tests through front-end/GUI tools, rendering high-fidelity images of 3D worlds based on mapping data, and optimizing and integrating 3D simulation for hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) testing. Generate synthetic data for machine learning and collaborating directly with client machine learning teams. Architect and support foundational simulation software and framework and interface between simulation and the rest of self-driving software stack. Utilize ROS, C++, Unity 3D, JavaScript, and SolidWorks. Quarterly travel to Foster City, CA
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or a related degree. Must have academic experience or training in the following: Building simulation app using C++; improving frame rate by optimizing geometry optimization; using full stack web development; conducting root cause analysis; and utilizing ROS, C++, Unity 3D, JavaScript, and SolidWorks. Telework permitted within commuting distance to worksite.
